All actors are insecure. They may be talented stars or superstars but there are few exceptions to the rule. Irrfan Khan was a perfect example of former statement on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan's home production Billu Barber, directed by Priyadarshan.
Irrfan plays the protagonist while SRK appears in a cameo. However, when King Khan was shooting for a song, Irrfan arrived on the sets and hung around all day even though he was not required to. He wanted to keep an eye on what SRK was doing and followed the assistants and kept hounding them with queries.
Narrating the incident, the source says, "When he heard that a new song was being shot on Shah Rukh and Lara, he got all worked up. The day they were shooting a song, Irrfan was present on the sets all day, even though he wasn't needed.
He refused to leave, even after Priyan told him that he was free to leave. He hung around the entire day. It was clear that Irrfan wanted to hang around to check the song. He kept asking questions to everyone about the length of the track and where does it appears in the film."
Irrfan Khan, tongue firmly in cheek, says, "Yes, I was insecure of Shah Rukh that my wife (Lara) wouldn't fall in love with him and leave me! I play a poor barber in the film jiske paas sirf ek dukaan, biwi, bakri aur do bachche hai aur kuch nahi. The particular day we were shooting for a song between Lara and Shah Rukh and thought it didn't require me to be on the sets.
I hung around asking Priyan and Shah Rukh about what moments would he create between Lara and Shah Rukh.
I was insecure about the romance happening between the two aur kahin meri biwi Shah Rukh ke pyaar mein toh nahi padegi aur bhaag jayegi? However Priyan had his own take on the moments which have turned out to be very sweet and endearing."
