Akshay Kumar News: Busy Bollywood stars rarely have time to catch up with each other and chat, unless they bump into each other unexpectedly.

This is exactly what happened to Bollywood’s khiladi, Akshay Kumar recently, twice!

Akshay managed to chat with two of his contemporary workmates only because both the time he found himself on the same flight as the other two.

These two workmates of his were none other than the superstars Sharukh Khan and Aamir Khan. On tweeter, Akki described this chance of fate as “funniest” of incidents.

Recently when he was flying back from London to Mumbai, on a quick one day trip, he found Aamir Khan on the same flight as his. Both the actors had a gala time chatting about the FIFA World Cup as they flew back together to Mumbai.

And only the next day, on his flight back to London, he found Shahrukh Khan, who was boarding the same flight to London.

“And the next day I flew back to London to join my wife and son for our summer holiday and I met Shahrukh Khan on my flight. It was nice to know he feels as grateful as I am for being a part of our industry and how lucky we are…,” he wrote.

Akshay, shooting for his upcoming “Patiala House” in London, found it funny that he got the chance to chat with two of his work-buddies on two consecutive days more than he manages to chat with them in an entire year.

Says a source close to Akshay, "Sajid took really ill after the release of Housefull and has been resting at home.

Nadiadwala, who's due to leave for London later this week on a month-long holiday with wife Wardha, sons Subhaan and Sufiyan, mother Shafaqat and his sister and her family, was held up because they couldn't find any place to put up. It's the holiday season and London is filled with tourists at this time of the year.

Adds the source, "Akki is living in a posh locality in North London with his family - wife Twinkle, son Aarav, mother-in-law Dimple and sister-in-law Rinke. When he heard about Sajid's predicament, he immediately arranged for his friend's family to stay at his own apartment. Akshay, Tina and their son will leave for a cruise next week the same time that Nadiadwala arrives in London. So it works out well for everyone concerned."

To Canada!
Khiladi Kumar has also promised the ailing Sajid that he would take him to Canada for treatment. "Akshay is very familiar with the Canadian medical system and is keen to get his friend treated for his ailment there."

Groans Arjun, “It isn’t easy wearing a cap in this heat. But while promoting Raajneeti I had to make sure my Ra.1 look doesn’t get revealed. Both Shahrukh and I have a particular look for the film. And I guess we both need to keep it hidden from the public.”

It isn’t surprising to know Arjun’s two daughters are his biggest fans and that his wife, Meher, thinks he has given his career’s best performance in Raajneeti. Chuckles Arjun, “My daughters found Raajneeti a little too intense for their liking. When they’re a little older I hope to sit and watch it with them. In fact, my whole endeavour is to create a body of work that my wife and kids can be proud of.”

And now Arjun is off on a month long holiday with the three girls in his life. “It’s an annual ritual. We always take a vacation during the daughters’ summer vacation. We’re leaving for London on 20 June. From there we’re heading for Greece. Just the four of us.”

Arjun is holidaying after receiving lots of critical acclaim for Raajneeti. “I guess the National Award for Rock On gave me the confidence to face the camera with all the National Award winners in Raajneeti. The feedback for Raajneeti is tremendous. It’s important for me to pick parts that take me beyond Rock On and Raajneeti. Since unconventional films are being accepted, why do hackneyed or clicked roles?”

And he has started by making the best use of his one year break from acting by making an effort to interact with his friends and associates from the industry during a recent trip to London.

The superstar and his wife Kiran Rao were in London last week to finalise some marketing deals for his forthcoming film Peepli Live  . During his five-day stay, Aamir met Anil Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan, Parmeshwar Godrej, Ronnie Screwvala and Akshay Kumar who were also in London. Interestingly, Aamir didn't meet Shah Rukh Khan who too was in London at the same time.

A source says, "Aamir was in London on Tuesday. They left on Saturday night. During his stay, Aamir met as many friends as he could. He has never done this before. You could say that he has no time to socialise or that he simply does not socialise. He has never met so many people, that too within a week. However, this trip was different."

According to the source, on the first night, Aamir met Anil for dinner. The next day he met Parmeshwar Godrej for lunch and the following day he went to an Italian restaurant for dinner with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.

It was Amitabh Bachchan who wanted to take the couple out for dinner. Aamir also met Ronnie Screwvala with whom he has worked on many films. On Saturday night, Aamir boarded the same flight as Akshay who too was on his way to Mumbai. "Akshay and Aamir spoke about Bollywood, and also bonded over their kids and their education and discussed why they decided to star in certain films," says the source.

The source adds, "Considering that he met so many of his friends from the film industry, Aamir was definitely aware that SRK was also in London. But he didn't meet SRK for reasons best known to him. He was probably too busy finalising the deals for Peepli Live ." Aamir’s spokesperson confirms the news and says, "Yes, Aamir did meet all of them in London."

Abhishek Bachchan News: Bollywood Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who hopped to seven locations across the city to promote Mani Ratnam's "Raavan", was overwhelmed to see fans going crazy for him and said he never knew that so many people know him.

"I like to promote my films myself. I want to go out to the audience and tell them about the film directly. It's a good fun.

I was shocked by people's response. I never knew that so many people know me.

Honestly. I was shocked to see so many people showed up," said Abhishek at a press conference at Cinemax Versova after a day-long tour Saturday.

People across the road were seen shouting his names and clicking photographs from their mobile phones.

Aishwarya Rai, who didn't accompany Abhishek during the rally as she was busy in other promotional activities, joined him at the conference.

"I was also busy with other promotional activities. It was decided that Veera (Abhishek) and his troupe would be out. So I made sure that at the last stop I will come and join you all and meet you so that's how I am here.

"This was during the course of the day, I was getting photographs. People were clicking and sending me and I realised that it was too much fun," said Aishwarya.

"Raavan" features Aishwarya Rai as a dance teacher who is happily married to a policeman, played by Tamil superstar Vikram, and shows how Veera causes mayhem in their lives.

Asked if she planning anything like Abhishek to connect with her audience, she just said, "Wait and watch. There are couple of days for the film to release, so wait and watch".

Releasing Friday, the movie has been co-produced by Reliance BIG Pictures and Madras Talkies.

The actor who arrived in Sri Lanka for the International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) has cancelled the shooting of his new movie in India titled Mursi and will begin shooting a movie in Sri Lanka next month.

Khan, who is the brand ambassador of the IIFA Charity Initiative, is active in supporting those who have been affected and displaced by the war in Sri Lanka.

Abeywardena also added that Khan had discussed this venture with the government and has been given the green light for his activities.
