Now, according to the latest buzz, his next movie with Katrina Kaif will go on the floors by the year end.

The director is keen to repeat Kat in his film and chances are that Ranbir Kapoor too will be called on board. Yippee! He is all set to create the Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani magic on celluloid, yet again. Santoshi has recently finalized the deal with the Shree Ashtavinyak production house of Jab We Met fame.

As a source tells a tabloid, the producers are in no mood to delay the project, “But he (Santoshi) and the producers are keen that this project rolls by the year-end.” An Ashtavinayak spokesperson confirmed this news and said, “Rajkumar Santoshi is directing a film for which work is in progress.”

Thus if everything goes planned, we will get to see Kat and Ranbir’s frolicsome jodi on big screen.

The film opened up to generally positive reactions from critics. Nikhat Kazmi of Times of India said “The film basically anchors its plot in two classic tales — The Mahabharata and The Godfather — to create an engrossing diatribe on India’s political system where democracy may prevail, but not in its purest form” and rated it 4/5.

According to IndiaTimes “Raajneeti is One of the most powerful and pertinent political parables in India undoubtedly happens to be Mahabharat where brothers fought against each other to gain ultimate power. Prakash Jha employs the same politics of power in his contemporary adaptation of Mahabharat, deriving its primary plot and central characters from the epic.”

Ranbir Kapoor, her co-star in Raajneeti, also values her judgement after she proved right in their first film together, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

It is common knowledge that besides producer Ramesh Taurani and director Rajkumar Santoshi, it was only Katrina Kaif in the unit who was confident that Ajab Prem… would work at the box-office. Ranbir, for one, was not too confident.
