Akshay Kumar Khatta Meetha: Priyadarshan’s upcoming movie Khatta Meetha has a controversial song titled ‘Bullshit’ that makes fun of corrupt netas and their lofty false promises.
In the movie Akshay Kumar plays an honest road contractor Sachin Tichkule who starts coughing uncontrollably every time a neta gives a bhashan. When asked the reason for his fit, Sachin says in his defence that he’s allergic to ‘Bullshit’, which alludes to the hollow promises made by politicians. The song ‘Bullshit’ was shot recently on Akshay and a lot of extras.
We hear that Akshay himself came up with the idea of this song, which, in his opinion, encapsulates the gist of the story of Khatta Meetha, which is about an honest road contractor whose career is doomed because he can’t bribe. But then he learns the corrupt ways and adjusts to the system.
Akshay Kumar New Movie Khtta Meetha Trailer And Song: Akshay Kumar is pulling a Hrithik Roshan and is set to make his music debut in the Priyadarshan directed romantic comedy Khatta Meetha, which is written by Jay Master and produced by Akshay himself.
Akki is fluent in Marathi so singing Pritam's tune "Nana Chi Taang" with co-star Trisha shouldn't be a problem!
In Khatta Meetha Akshay plays a road constructor named Sachin Tichkule. Trisha Krishnan - who makes her Bollywood debut in this satirical comedy - plays his love interest.
With so many debuts in one movie we bet it will be a delight for fans to see! And we can't wait to hear Akshay sing for the first time in his career! After all the daring stunts he has pulled off in previous movies we are curious to see how he will pull off this one! Akshay Kumar's Khatta Meetha is a remake of the 1989 Malaysian movie Vellanakalude that starred Nadu Mohanlal, Shobana, Nedumudi Venu and Sreenivasan. Apart from Akshay and Trisha, the new version also stars model and actress Urvashi Sharma and Holi actor Paresh Rawal. Even though Khatta Meetha is a remake, it is also based on the murder of PWD engineer Yogendra Pandey from Bihar who was killed by the road mafia in 2009.
The upbeat number shows Akshay dancing with Trisha in different settings and pursuing his love like no other! The road constructor has ups and downs but seems to be taking life in stride. Looks like Khatta Meetha is truly going to be a fun and 'sweet sour' flick!
