Ranbir Kapoor News: Bollywood hunk and son of yesteryear actor Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor is waiting for the release of his forthcoming film ‘Rajneeti’.
The film loosely based on the epic Mahabharat and with a strong political backdrop can prove to be a turning point for the rising actor who carries the legacy of the famous Kapoor family. He has tasted considerable success with his earlier films but in this film he will be seen in a serious and author backed role that will present his acting skills.
The on screen chemistry he shares with ace actress Katrina Kaif is well known but in this film she is also playing a serious and deglamorised role.
The actor who is barely few films old had his brush with rumors and controversies already. However, he knows how to deal with pesky situations well. He recently appeared with his co actors from ‘Rajneeti’ on Indian Idol 5 sets.
He has mastered the art of dealing with journalists hungry for gossips without giving them the chance to fee the Bollywood gossip mills. Recently the hunky actor Ranbir Kapoor was asked by a media person if he opted to refuse a film by ace director Karan Johar because Shahrukh Khan was in it. He rubbished the rumor saying he has no issue in working with the actor.
As of now, Ranbir Kapoor is praying for the success of ‘Rajneeti’. The director Prakash Jha has earlier tasted success with films based on crime and political nexus. If this film does well, Ranbir Kapoor will be able to shake off his lover boy image.

Katrina and Ranbir love hot scene turn down in Rajneeti cause Censor Board!

Jha protested the change recommended by the revising committee, because he considered the scene absolutely essential to the narrative. However, the board headed by former justice Usha Mehra didn't relent.
With the scene intact, the film would have got an A certificate, something Jha wasn't willing to accept. An adult only film not only reduces the size of the potential audience, it also gives the impression of a sleazy film.
"The love scene was absolutely essential. Unlike other directors I had not shot extra footage so that the censors could take away whatever portion they liked. I had shot the love making scene exactly the way it was meant to be. I've had to reduce it by half," Jha says.
In addition to the love making scene, several instances of F-word usage have also been bleeped out.
"I've also had to beep out the F-word uttered by Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in two different places in the plot. Ex-justice Usha Mehra, who headed the Tribunal, requested me to do away with the F-word. But it didn't make a difference," he said.
