People were guessing wildly that she character in Rajneeti is based on Sonia Gandhi but she has rubbished all rumours and instead claimed that she rather drew inspiration from Priyanka Gandhi in the film.

In real life Katrina is extremely proud of her mother who is involved in various social causes. Katrina is extremely close to her mom and her other siblings.

However apart from her mom who is a role model to her this feisty actress is also heavily inspired by late Prime Minster of India Mrs.Indira Gandhi.
