Penned by Chetan Bhagat, the filming can’t be questioned. After all, his ‘Five Point Someone’  has been put in celluloid in the biggest block buster of all time in the form of Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots.

As per reports, the flick shall be directed by the impressive Abhishek Kapoor who showed us his directorial talents in the super duper hit ‘Rock On’.

The premiere will be held in London on 16th June and Abhishek, himself, tweeted (yes, he, too, has been bitten by the twitter bug. So, what?) the information to his followers.

The Mani Ratnam’s brain child Raavan is a modern take of the Indian mythological epic Ramayan with Abhishek’s and Aishwarya’s character loosely inspired from Sita and the demoniacal Raavan.

However, unlike the epic, this tale has been told from Raavan’s point of view and is a story of glorification of the evil. In this flick, Abhishek essays Beera who will abduct Ash, the wife of South Indian actor Vikram who plays the character based on the hero Ram. However, rather than spinning the tale of heroics of Ram, this caper shall delve deep into the psyche of the corrupt-minded Abhishek and the circumstances under which he commits the heinous crime.

The climax is a bold and refreshing one where, supposedly, Aishwarya will fall for his abductor. The film co-produced by Reliance Big Pictures premieres 18th June in London with AbhiAsh gracing the event amidst the tsunami of screaming fans.

Abhishek And Aishwarya RAVAN- Strictly Ristricted to 24 theaters by KFCC!

Abhishek Bachchan And Aishwarya Rai Raavana News:  Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai starrer upcoming flick ‘Raavan’ has been restricted by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce(KFCC) to only twenty- four theatres in Mysore, the southern region of Karnataka State,  as against the demand of Big Cinemas to allow the flick to be released at forty -eight theatres.

Mr. Vasant Kumar Patil, the President of KFCC, has refused to accept the request from the Big Cinemas and restricted the film to protect the interest of local Kannada flicks.

As ‘Raavan’ is a big budget flick being made in two languages of Hindi and Tamil simultaneously, the Big Cinemas had argued that it be treated as two different movies and accordingly allowed to be screened in more theatres.

They had also put forth the fact that Tamil version ‘Raavanan’ had another hero Vikram in the lead, and hence, it could be easily considered as a different venture from that of Abhishek Bachchan starrer flick in Hindi.

But KFCC would have none of it and allowed the flick to be released in Mysore region only across twenty- four theatres on June 18, when the movie is scheduled for a worldwide release.

‘Raavan’ is a big budget flick being directed by ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam with musical scores coming from AR Rahman. The movie has Abhishek Bachchan playing the character of Raavan in Hindi version, while the same character is enacted by Tamil superstar Vikram in the ‘Raavanan’(Tamil version).

Aishwarya Rai, the real life wife of Abhishek Bachchan plays the character of Sita in both Hindi and Tamil versions. Abhishek’s character of Beera abducts Aishwarya in the film and keeps her in captivity just like Raavan did in the epic ‘Ramayana’.

The film also has bollywood stars Govinda, Nikhil Dwivedi, Sonu Sood and Ravi Kissen playing important roles in it. The movie has been extensively shot in the jungles of Kerala and the star cast had to face snakes, leeches during their work in those inhospitable areas.

The movie is due for release on June 18 and might prove a milestone in the careers of Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai. The songs of the flick have already been topping the music charts of several music channels.

The sad news is that Ash will not be able to attend he IIFA celebrations in Colombo, Sri Lanka, due to her prior commitments. Reportedly, the actor is going to fly to Paris, in the first week of June, to promote the ‘Longines’, which is an International watch Brand, of which she is the Brand Ambassador.

After the official promos, she will reportedly be attending the French Open.

Abhishek Bachchan, will also not be able to attend the IIFA celebrations, due to his shooting schedule of director Abhinay Deo’s flick ‘Game’. The actor is to go to Istanbul for the next round of shooting for the flick.

Thus, the couple, who were to be quite an attraction at the IIFA, will now give a MISS, to the prestigious event!

Raavan Hindi movie is the upcoming movie of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. A major portion of the movie was set in jungle.

The jungle shooting lasted for two hundred days and it was very grueling especially for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for she had to shoot both in Tamil and Hindi version.

In Hindi version, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play the lead roles while South Indian actor, Vikram, played the villain. In Tamil version, Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the lead role.

The shooting was very grueling but even after all the hard work, Abhishek Bachchan always stayed with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

While talking about her experience of shooting the movie, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, “You're drenched from six in the morning till seven in the evening; the day starts with a trek, going to locations and then you muddy yourself, dirty yourself, get into costume. In the last few years, many of the big names have been giving it a miss for various reasons.

While reports suggested that a fallout in the Shah Rukh Khan - Bachchan relationship may be the reason for the former skipping the event, the marriage of Ash to Abhishek has seen Salman missing the show. But this year, both these actors have been roped in for the various activities at IIFA.

While Shah Rukh Khan was to captain of the celebrity led Indian side for the charity cricket match that will be played against the Sri Lankan cricketers, Salman Khan is the brand ambassador of the charity event of IIFA.

However, there is a very clear reason why Ash and Abhishek both will not be able to attend this year's IIFA at Colombo. According to Ash's official spokesperson, "Ash had confirmed her presence at the finals of the French Open Tennis Championships in advance. Her watch brand is the official time keeper of the Roland Garros event and as such, Ash is required to make an appearance."

And as for Abhishek, he will be shooting for Abhinay Deo's Game in Istanbul. Abhishek has been traveling for some time now. After a short schedule in Greece for the same film, AB flew to Cannes for the annual film festival and is now headed for Istanbul.

Although there will be speculations about the absence of the junior Bachchan pair, given the fact that Shah Rukh and Salman Khan will be present, there is nothing but official commitments that are keeping the duo from this event.
