'Murali' Tamil actor is dead: The 46-year-old Tamil actor Murali passed away in Chennai on Wednesday due to cardiac arrest.

From what we learn, Murali complained of chest pain early on Wednesday morning and was taken a hospital nearby. But he couldn’t make it to the hospital as the doctors declared him brought dead.

Murali was the son of famous Kannada film director Siddalingaia.

He acted in his first Tamil film in 1984 playing the lead role in ‘Poovilangu’. But his rise to fame only began in the 1990s with a series of hit films including ‘Idhayam’, ‘Pudu Vasantham’, ‘Porkalam’ and ‘Sundara Travels’. In 2001 he won the Tamil Nadu best actor award for his performance in ‘Kadal Pookal’.

Murali is survived by his wife and two sons. His son Adharva made his acting debut just last month with the film Banna Kathadi.
