Aishwarya Rai watch brand Longines with Kat Winslet and Chi Lin: Aishwarya Rai filmed a commercial for Swiss luxury watch brand Longines in Rome on Tuesday, July 20, along with actress Kate Winslet and Taiwanese model Chi Ling Lin.
Aishwarya, 36, looked stunningly beautiful in a pleated purple dress with a banded waist, V neckline and extended shoulders with a banded detail.
She accessorized with black cross ankle strap heels and a bracelet in each arm.
Her age defying flawless skin, subtle pink lip color, purple eye shadow and wavy auburn hair, styled with a side parting to frame her face, rounded a perfect - even surreal - look.
The new commercial will promote Longines' DolceVita collection.
Winslet's presence in the commercial had led to some misreporting, because she was appointed Longines brand ambassador very recently; Rai and Lin have represented the brand since long.
Winslet and Rai are better known as L'Oreal brand ambassadors, which had prompted a large section of the Indian press to report that the two stars would be sharing screen space for a L'Oreal commercial.
We had asked Aishwarya Rai's PR, Archana Sadanand, to confirm those press reports and her response had been a categorical, "This is wrong information."
We believe she needlessly lied to us, but perhaps she believes it was nothing more than street smart pedantry.
In any case, where was the need for it, we wonder?
On an aside, Amitabh Bachchan frequently lynches the Indian press for false reporting on his blog and Twitter. The truth is, star PRs frequently mislead the press and plant false information, something Bachchan conveniently ignores.
Don't expect Mr Bachchan to explain why Aishwarya's PR misled us on his blog. Perception is reality, Bachchan knows only too well.
Stars like Bachchan live in a make believe world. They think their fans truly reflect who they are, not the press. It is an 'Inception' seeded into their dream world by their vanity, and they look upon truth as 'projections' from the press; bad men out to get them.
