Aamir Khan 3 IDIOTS fetches Rs 315 crore, beats Ghajini Rs 260 crore!!

Aamir Khan, the perfectionist actor who played the character of Rancho with finesse  in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’ opposite Kareena Kapoor, has successfully created another record at the box office as his film crosses Rs 319 crore in nineteen days.

So far no bollywood flick has been able to create this record—not even ‘Sholay’ or any other Shah Rukh Khan starrer flick. In fact, the earlier record of Rs 260 crore had also been held by Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’, but that was the total earning of the film. On the contrary, ‘3 Idiots’ has crossed the mind boggling figure of Rs 315 crore in less than three weeks and the movie is still going strong.

In fact, the trade pundits are amazed at the fact that even in its third week, ‘3 Idiots’ has not shown any significant downfall in its collection at the box office. Big Entertainment, which released the super duper hit flick, is going ga ga over the performance of the film at the box office and hoping for more.

The buzz in industry is that Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ by collecting such a huge amount and becoming a worldwide success all over, has shown the growing acceptance of bollywood in western countries.

The success of ‘3 Idiots’ all over the world has also opened a completely new wonderland for bollywood where it does not need to worry about the market and handsome return, if the product is as entertaining and as solid as Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’.n fact, a whole new vista of opportunity is knocking at the door of bollywood and it is up to it to exploit the opportunity with its superb creativity and product in the international market.

Some analysts have already started comparing Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ with James Cameron’s super duper hit Hollywood flick ‘Avatar’, which has been rocking the box office. Trade pundits point out that ‘3 Idiots’, like ‘Avatar’, has not shown any significant percentage decrease at the box office even after running for two weeks.

They believe that ‘3 Idiots’ is being helped by word of mouth publicity. Each person is asking the other if he had watched the Aamir Khan starrer flick, and this in turn has been making the movie more popular. According to an estimate, around sixty million people have already watched the movie in theatres and they are still coming for second, third viewing.
