The controversies
Aishwarya has cleverly tried to dodge controversies but they have always courted her for some reason or the other. Most of them are in sync with her love life. Aishwarya Rai was supposedly hit or had a physical abuse by Salman Khan during her relationship with Salman. Though she maintained a stoic silence, her fractured hand and a gash on her face stood as proof of her abuse.

There are some who believe that Vivek Oberoi was given a bad deal by Aishwarya Rai who did not respect his romance. However this facet is best left to the two individuals and it is something which the outsiders will never know.

Aishwarya was also on the seat of controversy with regards to a smooch scene she shared on-screen with Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2. The Bacchan was reportedly ired by Aishwarya’s skimpy clothing and bold act in the movie.

Aishwarya was also not appreciated for keeping the wedding really private. Fans feel that she could have still come out of her home and at least waved her hands to her crazy fans who stood outside her house and the Bachchan Bungalow for hours. If Lady Diana could do it, why could not Aishwarya Rai?

Aishwarya Rai is also believed to have sidelined Rani Mukherjee from the guest list to her wedding. That is reportedly because of Rani’s warm chemistry with Abhishek Bachchan both on screen and off-screen. Also, Rani Mukhejee has been a close friend of the Bachchans and the decision to oust Rani Mukherjee is believed to be done on the hinges of insecurity and possessiveness.

New Releases:
Things are looking sunny and bright for Aishwarya Rai for the future. The year 2007 has two big releases, the magnum opus Jodha Akbar opposite Hrithik Roshan and Sarkar 2 opposite husband Abhishek Bachchan. The releases lined for 2008 are Happy Birthday (also starring Shilpa Shetty, John Abraham, Paresh Rawal and Amitabh Bachchan), Raaste with John Abraham and Abhishekh Bachchan and finally The Rebel, where she is playing Rani Laxmibai.

Aishwarya's quotes:
I'm not a tease. I don't go around fluttering my eyelashes and wrapping men around my little finger.

But I have made no conscious effort to look battered and bruised. It is just the way one feels when one is put in a certain traumatic situation.”

Salman Khan's like a baby. We're always sparring on the sets. If he gives me attitude, I give him loads of it in return.

I always believed that my silence on several topics will be an advantage in the long run.

I have a great story to tell... and I tell it well. No holds barred.

Okay, let's take statistics. How many interviews have I given you in the last six years? Just five or six? Doesn't that say something? I hate to sound immodest, but this dates back to my personality since the age of 13. I've always got attention, which at times has been quite unwarranted.

Even in India the Hindi film industry might be the best known but there are movies made in other regional languages in India, be it Tamil or Bengali. Those experiences too are different from the ones in Bombay.

But I have made no conscious effort to look battered and bruised. It is just the way one feels when one is put in a certain traumatic situation.

I find it stupid and irrelevant to talk about personal relationships. Since the motions that we pass in the mornings are private and not be told, I would say the same goes for my personal relationships.

Life after marriage is wonderful.
