Kiran Rao interview: Aamir do not take bath regularly
In an interview to Live India, Kiran Rao said, “The one thing that I don’t like about him is the fact that he doesn’t take a bath. And trust me when I say this that his bathing habits are not very regular.” To this the actor jumped in to his rescue and said, “I do take bath when I go out for work.
And considering most of the time I step out for work, I take bath most of the time. It is only when I am not stepping out or when I am on a holiday when I don’t take a bath.”
But Kiran is relieved with the fact that she has someone in the house that she can count on to understand her in and out. “We are really happy together. We are both strong minded people but till now we haven’t faced any problem and it has been six years so far. We are more of friends, so we collaborate our ideas. There are no ego clashes; in fact it is purely enriching to be with each other.”
Kiran Rao admits that she puts across certain points firmly when she's directing a movie, and Aamir is acting. “I do tell him that I am doing a certain thing because I am the director of the movie.” To this Aamir added smiling, “And I give her a suggesting and say that I am the actor of the movie.”
When quizzed about the recent patch-up wave in the industry (SRK and Farah patching up), this is what the couple had to say. “See I don’t have any grudges against anyone in the industry. So I really don’t want to comment,” says Aamir. Adding final twist to the tale was Kiran’s answer to the same question, “I am so new to the industry that I am really no one to comment on this. But I must confess that sometimes what SRK says makes no sense to me.”
Kiran Rao to direct Aamir Khan to do a lovemaking scene?
The movie is releasing on January 21, and recently some new trailers of the movie were launched where Aamir is seen in an intimate sequence with a female co-star. As the movie is about four people and their intertwined relationships, Kiran chose to show intimacy more through the emotional connection between the characters.
While talking to a daily, Kiran confesses that she chose to keep the scenes tame, “I kept those scenes tame! They all had their clothes on. Besides, intimacy is not shown through sex but by a connection that you see between the characters in the film. There is no sex in Dhobi Ghat.”
How did Aamir manage to do the steamy scenes? Kiran says he rather wanted to make them more exciting. Not to forget, he is a perfectionist.

As roots reveal, the plan of the picture sprouted from the incident when a man from Jhansi submitted suicide following he was expressed impotent by Rakhi on her show Rakhi Ka Insaaf. There is no denying that Rakhi owes her vocation and acclaim to reality shows, and there are countless who are entranced about participating in these reality shows so that they moreover have their allotment of acclaim on TV.
Kiran’s Dhobi Ghat is complete and is ready to hit the theatres on February 11.
The first-time director has already earned the name of being a sensitive, realistic filmmaker. So, what is going to be her take on Indian reality shows? As she is quite a pro in portraying complex human relationships after Dhobi Ghat, this film will also try to show the interpersonal relationships between the participants on these shows and how their emotions are often compromised with, reports a daily.

Kiran Rao strictly against casting Aamir Khan for Lead Role?
When Aamir read the script that his wife had written he happily volunteered to play the character of Arun, a painter living in the very crowded Masjid Bunder area in Mumbai.
But Kiran was categorically against signing Aamir. Firstly, she was looking for a new face. Secondly, she wanted to shoot the movie in real setting and the presence of Aamir would create crowds of fans within minutes.
Kiran, in fact, auditioned a number of new actors. But none satisfied her. That’s when Aamir played his trick.
“I offered demonstrate to Kiran and the film’s crew how the character should be played,” Aamir said in a TV programme.
Of course, Aamir’s objective was to grab the role. And the trick did work. Once Kiran and the crew saw the rushes of Aamir playing Arun, they unanimously agreed that he suited the role best.
Then what? Aamir had what he wanted.
About Kiran’s fear of Aamir’s presence creating a mob fury? The actor shot secretly in real location and stayed inside a flat for three weeks without anyone in the area getting to know of it.

Kiran Rao is now In charge of Aamir Khan’s Film Promotions: After Aishwarya Rai, the flu has got a new victim in Bollywood. It was certainly the wrong time for Aamir Khan to fall sick as his film Peepli [Live] is up for release this Friday. With Aamir down, his wife Kiran Rao is now in charge of doing movie’s promotions and the needful.
It happened after Aamir reached India from his Australia ka daura. The actor’s throat is severely infected and he can hardly speak. Doctors have advised him some rest and told him to speak only when necessary. However, the actor was spotted at the special screening of Peepli [Live] in Mumbai. Unwillingly, he has had to cancel his various promotional activities as well as interviews.
Kiran, who is also the co-producer of the film, will now take care of things in his absence. She has experience in production as she has earlier worked in Lagaan and is even directing the film Dhobi Ghaat.
