Kareena Kapoor in We Are Family, my role is very difficult than Kajol's: Kareena Kapoor couldn't resist it. She has bragged that her role in 'We Are Family' was tougher than Kajol's.

Here is what she is quoted as saying by IANS:

"I think it's an exciting challenge to be working with Kajol. In Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham we didn't have too many scenes together, but in this film we are both in the same frame. We both live in the same house, have equally powerful roles; in fact, mine is the most complex and complicated part. It's very easy to be emotional and gain sympathy but very difficult to win over the sympathy and I hope I could achieve that," she said.

Kareena is talented, and we say it with a lot of confidence, but modesty is not a virtue you can associate with her.

Kareena is also pretty, though we are not saying it this time. There is no need to. She unabashedly calls herself pretty.

"I enjoy acting. Acting is in my blood, it is in my genes, it is in my DNA and you can see that on screen I like doing different roles. I can't do just those films where I am looking pretty and sing and dance around trees. I want to act," Kareena says in the same interview.

We Are Family is inspired by Stepmom (1998), starring Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts.

Kajol plays a terminally ill divorcee who has to accept Kareena, the new woman in her ex-husband Arjun Rampal's life, as the stepmother of her kids.

The heartwarming film shows the poignant efforts of the two women to find common ground.

The film releases in theatres on September 2.

Kareena Kapoor accomponied by Karan Johar is bolting across the country to promote 'We Are Family'. The film, a remake of the Hollywood blockbuster Stepmom sees Kareena play Arjun Rampal's girlfriend. Kajol plays the role of Arjun's ex-wife.

Kareena is aware that there are bound to be comparisons between her and Julia Roberts who played the role in the orignal film, saying "There are similarities between my character and Julia Roberts', but this is almost my 40th film and I have a distinct style of my own. I have portrayed the role the way, the director had visualized it".

In the meantime, Siddharth Malhotra the director of the move has said that though they have bought the official rights of Hollywood movie Stepmom, the film is not a remake but an adaptation.

Talking about the movie, Kareena says that the USP of the movie is its two leading ladies, saying "I have always admired Kajol as an actress. We have worked together earlier in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham but we had very few scenes together. In this film, we share almost every frame"

We Are Family will be released on September 3rd.

The writers of the film are Gigi Levangie, Jessie Nelson, Steven Rogers, Karen Leigh Hopkins and Rob Bass.

Kareena Kapoor News: The Hindi remake of the Hollywood flick ‘Step mom’, has finally been given a name which is ‘We are Family’. Sources reveal that both Kareena and Kajol have done excellent work in the flick, and this is one major attraction to be looked forward to in the coming months.

The Hindi version, directed by Karan Johar, has been very much in the news for some reason or another right from its inception.

There was a curious furor over its unusual star cast, as it has Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, playing the major protagonists.

Then, there was news about Kajol doing a great song and dance number on a real piano, in spite of carrying a baby bump.

Then, as the flick was on its way to completion, there was news about Karan Johar trying to find a decent title for the remake. He had written on his twitter page to all his fans, for probable suitable names for his flick.

Now, the recent twitter of his, mentions that the title finally selected is ‘We Are Family’. Karan posted that just as he had promised his fans that he would Twiiter about the title, and did so, he would also write about the release date.

The story of the flick is quite intriguing, as a terminally ill woman, has to face life with guts as her ex- husband brings in another young woman into their lives. The dealings of the older woman with her competitor, and her kids facing adversities due to all this, are beautifully picturised.

The original flick, ‘Step mom’, has Ed Harris, Susan Sarandon, and Julia Roberts playing the main protagonists.
