A new day

Well, it looks like the chief isn't coming back. Hopefully I can keep up his good works in the field of toe cleavage. Expect some changes and different looks while I figure out this blog thing.

Since I don't have any valid place to start, I'm just going to go alphabetically through my collection so expect some duplicates from the chief's blog. I'll also be posting new stuff as I find it.

Only few have been associated with Lux: Katrina

Bolywood actresses Katrina Kaif has joined hands with celebrities Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra as the new brand ambassador for Lux and she thinks it is only a selected lot to have had the "honour".

Katrina has been roped in as the face of the Lux Purple Lotus & Cream, a soap infused with anti-ageing properties.

"I don't think every actress in Bollywood has been associated with Lux. A select few actresses, who they felt suited the brand right (have been associated with it) and they all have been actresses of great stature with wonderful careers and some wonderful work," Katrina told IANS over phone from Dubai Sunday evening.

"I am very honoured to join the group of people who have been with Lux over the years," she added.

The new commercial has been shot in Bangkok and directed by Marco. While Katrina has been styled by fashion designer Rocky S for the ad, the music has been composed by trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan also endorses Lux with wife Aishwarya.

Shahid kapoor turns 28 this year Happy Birthday (belated)

Shahid kapoor celebrated his 28th birthday on 25th Feb in a surprise b’day party by siddharth Malhotra along with his family friends and costars.

This Aries born actor is a Bollywood sweetheart! Known for his cool histrionics and superb dancing skills, Shahid has come a long way from being an extra in ads and being in a dancing troupe to being one of Bollywood’s most wanted actors.

Born to actor extraordinaire Pankaj Kapoor and TV star Neelima Azim, the actor grew up in a very “filmy” household. He started his career with music videos and advertisements.

Shahid shot to fame with ‘Ishq Vishq’. That year he also won the Filmfare for Best Debut Male. After that, he went into a slump period for a while, with box office duds like Fiza.

But real commercial success came for him, with Vivah in 2006, Jab We Met in 2007 and Kaminey in 2009.

The actor has been romantically involved with many a co-star through his career. But his big love story was with Kareena Kapoor (who incidentally turned vegetarian for him). But the love story didn’t last long. The relationship soured and Kareena went on to date Saif Ali Khan.

Later, Shahid was rumoured to be dating Vidya Balan, whom he met during the shoot of ‘Kismet Konnection’. But both of them denied such reports. Most recently, Shahid has been reportedly dating Priyanka Chopra. The buzz is that they hit it off during the shoot of ‘Kaminey’.

His two recent releases, ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ and ‘Chance Pe Dance’ have not done well at the box office. But here’s hoping Shahid shines in 2010.

Kangana Ranaut: The 5 Crore Deal Seal!

If there is anyone these days who is on cloud nine then it’s got to be Kangana Ranaut for sure. According to grapevine this is one actress who has seen her debut in bollywood with a small budget film has in deed proved her worth in the industry and has thus quoted Rs 5 crore for a forth coming film being produced by the former TV actor who has turned producer.

Reportedly theactress has been given the formal approval by the film’s production house and sources reveal that the actress has been duly grated her credit as she has more than proved that she is an actress of substance and great potential.

The film has debutant actor Chirag Paswan as the lead actor and he is the son of Ram Vilas Paswan a famous face in the Indian political scenario.

There are two more actresses to be finalized for the film and talks are on to do the same. Kangana is a fineactress ho comes originally from the beautiful valley o Kashmir. 

While still a new comer she had to struggle for a foot hold in the industry as there were talks that she was not fit to be a bollywood heroine as she had curly tresses and a very thin body frame which was completely opposite to the perquisites of a bollywood female star in those days.

But it was her perseverance and hard work that has brought her into the same bracket as the top most heroines of tinsel town. Now she has got the confidence and the right to demand and command the price that she wishes to do so and get a positive nod for it too. We do wish her the best in her career and in life too.
