Bollywood Latest News: Bollywood churns out a huge number of films everywhere. However the year 2009 saw a dry spell as far as movies are concerned. Recession halted the shooting of many films and multiplex strike made the final blow.

Kites One of the most eagerly awaited films this year is Kites directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It stars Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori, Kangana Ranaut and Luce Rains. It is one of most high budget movies of the year and the film has been shot keeping in mind the sensibilities and demands of the international audience. People are eager to watch the sizzling chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori ever since the news of their alleged affair off screen broke.
Paathshala-Another film that will be released this year is Paathshala directed by Milind Ukey.The story is set in a school and stars Shahid Kapoor and Ayesha Takia.The promos are already out and the songs, too, are becoming chartbusters. It is believed that the film will be loved by the kids and adults like because of its good music, great performances and a unique story.
Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai- is another movie which the audiences are dying to watch. It is a romantic comedy and has Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ruslaan Mumtaz in lead roles.Riteish has proved his mettle in comedy and the audiences would love to watch him in a comic role once again. The promos are out now and the songs have been well received too.
Phoonk 2 -is another horror film directed by Ram Gopal Verma and is supposed to hit the screen in 2010. In fact, this is the sequel of the first film’Phoonk’.Even though Phoonk did not receive much critical and audience appreciation, audiences are hopeful that Verma will not go wrong this time. The film stars Sudeep, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ahsaas Channa, Ashwini Kalsekar & others.
Pankh- is another interesting film which has the unique theme of a boy facing gender identity crisis. Written and directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyaya and starring Bipasha Basu, Lilette Dubey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ronit Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh and newcomers Maradona Rebello and Amit Purohit.It is based on the real life incident of child actor Ahsaas Channa who is a girl but was passed off as a boy in films like Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Vaastu Shastra.
In this film, Bipasha Basu will be seen in nine different looks and going by the promos, we can say that she is looking super hot and smashing in each of the looks.
