‘Patiala House’, is based on the story of a young Indian Sikh boy, trying his best to make a name for himself and his family in South Hall, London. The story has Akshay Kumar aspiring to be a cricketer.
The actor has been under going rigorous practice sessions with the Indian cricketer, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, who has also been a part of the Indian team in 1983 squad, when India had won the World Cup.
Akshay Kumar has been learning how to be a fast bowler and has worked so hard for the role, that now he has developed a passion for the game. Now, with news of the English legend Ian Botham joining the film, it surely is creating a lot of frenzy amongst all film buffs.
The film stars Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and the lead actress is Anushka Sharma, of the recently released ‘Badmaash Company’ fame. The film is being directed by Nikhil Advani.
